Your mission

As a Platform Engineer in our Infrastructure Team, you will support in maintaining and evolving our hybrid cloud infrastructure. We use multiple public and private cloud systems and are actively moving toward a unified, cloud-native architecture.

You will work as part of our Infrastructure Team and collaborate with various Development Teams to deliver secure, automated, and scalable environments. This includes building pipelines, defining infrastructure as code, developing and maintaining Helm charts, and leveraging ArgoCD for GitOps-based deployments.

Your profile

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Platform Operations
* Operate and support hybrid infrastructure based on Debian Linux and Windows VMs.
* Maintain compute, storage, and networking across cloud and on-premise environments.
* Help define and uphold platform standards across subsidiaries.

Infrastructure-as-Code & Automation
* Design and manage infrastructure using Ansible and Terraform.
* Automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle of infrastructure services.
* Ensure reproducibility and standardization through modern IaC practices.

CI/CD, GitOps & Platform Unification
* Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab and GitHub, contributing to future consolidation efforts.
* Develop and maintain Helm charts for Kubernetes-based services.
* Use ArgoCD to manage declarative, GitOps-driven deployment pipelines across environments.
* Support container-based deployment workflows using Docker and Kubernetes.

Networking & Security
* Provide hands-on expertise in networking: routing, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, load balancers, and service mesh technologies.
* Collaborate with security teams to embed security controls, manage secrets, and maintain compliant environments.
* Monitor and improve network connectivity, access controls, and traffic policies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work with development teams to ensure seamless application deployment and operations.
* Support engineers during development, testing, and incident resolution processes.
* Actively participate in platform and architecture discussions, sharing best practices and feedback.

Required Skills and Experience
* Experience administering Debian Linux and Windows Server environments.
* Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, firewalls, DNS, routing, load balancing).
* Working knowledge of:
  * Docker, Kubernetes
  * Helm chart authoring and lifecycle management
  * ArgoCD for GitOps deployment workflows
* Experience with Ansible.
* Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines / GitLab CI/CD / GitHub actions.
* This role cannot be performed fully remote. We expect the candidate to be present at our office for part of the workweek. The exact balance between remote and in-office work can be discussed, but regular on-site collaboration is essential
* A valid work and residence permit within the European Union (EU) is required for this position. We are not able to support visa sponsorship or relocation outside of the EU

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in finding and resolving issues in complex systems.
